I have tried so many times to find something I don’t like about this place… So many times!!

If I had to coin a phrase to describe the decor and atmosphere, I’d say Sugar Beach is “modern luxury with a colonial twist.” It’s the perfect mix of sophistication and elegance, without being stuffy or too formal. You can relax, keep yourself busy with activities, enjoy some of the best views in St. Lucia, and of course indulge in some impressive food and drink!

Location wise, it just doesn’t get better than this.  Nestled right between peaks of the Pitons, the mountain view is breathtaking. But it’s not just the view that makes this location great – Soufriere is the prime area for exploring this gorgeous island, whether it’s hiking, snorkeling, or diving that you’re interested in. This beach in Soufriere is the best around, and many other resorts actually bus their guests down to this region for snorkeling and diving excursions from an hour away.

Sugar Beach has their accommodations broken up into 4 different categories: guestrooms, villas, beachfront bungalows, and residences. (Sign me up for a permanent residence here please…)

The guestrooms are not detached individual buildings, whereas all of the others are.  Honeymooners are best accommodated in the cottages, beachfront bungalows, or one bedroom villas, all of which have private pools.

The Rainforest Spa should be called the Rainforest Treehouse Spa if you ask me!  The raised treatment rooms form a unique strip of tree house-like bungalows. While the sight of this might excite any 10 year old who’s been asking for a tree house, the rooms are far from rambunctious. If you came here to relax and indulge, this will be your favorite spot.

The inside portion of the spa offers and mani/pedi area, as well as a traditional temescal treatment area. I also must say, they’ve done a wonderful job of making the spa husband-friendly! It should be easier to coax men in here for pedicures than most spas I’ve seen.

The Cave Bar – open until 1am, thank goodness! It’s nice to have a resort of this caliber that doesn’t shut down at 10 or 11 like many higher end ones do.

The experience here is just unlike any other you’ll have in St. Lucia. Are there other places you can stay? Of course.  Will they be as amazing as this if you’re looking luxury, relaxation, nature experiences, water activities, and an amazing room all in one place?  Probably not!
